Will Ella Be Able to Break Her Curse? Find Out at Ella Enchanted, the All-New Musical

The Arvada Center produces, curates, and creates national-caliber arts, humanities, education, and entertainment that are designed to help audiences see, hear, feel, and think a little deeper. This Saturday, join the Arvada Center on a journey to the fairytale land of Frell for Ella Enchanted! This play will open on November 30th at 11:00 a.m.

The stage musical of Ella Enchanted has recently been adapted from the beloved Newbery Honor book by Gail Carson Levine. In the play, audiences meet Ella, a girl who must navigate her world with the "gift" of complete obedience – which was bestowed upon her by her misguided fairy godmother.

When Ella’s mother passes away, she is cared for by her thoughtless and greedy father who remarries a loathsome woman with two treacherous daughters. Unlike Cinderella, Ella must depend on herself and her intelligence to get her through her troubles and find Lucinda in order for her "curse" to be broken. Adventures will ensue with ogres, giants, elves, wicked stepsisters, and true friends that help Ella find her voice. These whimsical characters make this a captivating tale for children and adults of all ages!

The Arvada Center celebrates and elevates the human condition with engaging arts, humanities, education, and entertainment that expand the cultural landscape for everyone who visits us.
